His best years were spent roaming the Serengeti at the head of his pride, where his leadership was famous for its passion and iron paw rather than stratagem. Now, in his dotage, this old lion is reliving his glory days by writing his confessions like St. Augustine did… or perhaps, his memoirs in the manner of cashiered generals, retired politicians or deposed dictators everywhere.
