In 1905 Einstein theorized that he could release a large
amount of energy from a small amount of matter.
But he did not even think of a bomb, because of
his pacifism, and claimed he wouldn’t fight in a war
no matter the cause of it.
In 1933 his position changed as Hitler rose to power.
